_____________________________________________________________________________________ Collaborative for Defining High School Course Competencies CACES has undertaken the task of helping New Hampshire school districts meet the requirements of Approval Standard 306.27d(2). This standard requires that, “By the 2008-2009 school year, the local school board shall require that a high school have in place competency assessments for all courses offered through the high school.” Because many seem to agree that districts should work together in meeting this standard, CACES has formed a collaborative of districts interested in the development of a common template for developing high school course competencies.
